Jonah 2

(CLV) Jonah 2

1 And Jonah is praying to Yahweh, his Elohim, from the bowels of the fish. 2 And he is saying, "I call, because of my distress, to Yahweh, my Elohim, and He is answering me. From the belly of the unseen I implore; You hear my voice. 3 And You are flinging me into the shadowy depth, into the heart of the seas, and the stream is surrounding me; all Your breakers and Your billows pass over me. 4 And I said, I am driven out from in front of Your eyes. Yea, I will continue to look to Your holy temple. 5 The waters envelope me unto the soul; the submerged chaos is surrounding me; sedge binds up my head. 6 I go down to the fashioning points of the mountains; the earth, its bars are about me for the eon, yet You wilt bring up my life from ruin, Yahweh, my Elohim. 7 When my soul droops within me, I remember Yahweh, and my prayer is coming to You, to Your holy temple. 8 Those observing the vanities of futility are forsaking their own kindness. 9 Yet let me, with the voice of praise and acclamation, sacrifice to You; let me repay to You that which I vowed. Salvation is of Yahweh." 10 Then Yahweh is speaking to the fish and it is vomiting Jonah upon the dry land.
