Zechariah 6

¹ Then I am returning and lifting my eyes and seeing, and behold! four chariots faring forth from between two mountains. And the mountains are mountains of copper. ² For the first chariot are red horses, and for the second chariot are dusky horses, ³ and for the third chariot are white horses, and for the fourth chariot are dappled, resolute horses. ⁴ And I am answering and am saying to the messenger who is speaking with me, "What are these, my lord?" ⁵ And the messenger is answering and saying to me, "These are the four spirits of the heavens faring forth from stationing themselves with the Lord of the entire earth. ⁶ The dusky horses which are in it are faring forth to the land of the north, and the white fare forth after them, and the dappled fare forth to the south land. ⁷ And the resolute fare forth and are seeking to go to walk in the land." And he is saying, "Go, walk in the land." And they are walking in the land. ⁸ And he is crying out to me, and is speaking to me, saying: "See, those faring forth to the land of the north cause my spirit to rest in the land of the north." ⁹ Then the word of Yahweh is coming to me saying: ¹⁰ "Take those from the deportation, from Heldai, and from Tobijah and from Jedaiah. And you come on this day, and enter the house of Josiah, son of Zephaniah, who came from Babylon. ¹¹ And you take silver and gold and make crowns and place them on the head of Joshua, son of Josedech, the great priest. ¹² And you speak to him, saying, Thus speaks Yahweh of hosts, saying: Behold the man! Sprout is his name. And from under him shall it sprout. And he shall build the temple of Yahweh, ¹³ even he shall build the temple of Yahweh, and he shall bear the splendor. And he shall sit and rule on his throne, and there comes to be a priest at his throne, and the counsel of welfare shall come to be between the two of them. ¹⁴ And the crowns shall come to be for Heldai, and for Tobijah, and for Jedaiah, and for Hen, the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yahweh. ¹⁵ And those afar shall come and they shall build the temple of Yahweh. Then shall you know that Yahweh of hosts sent me to you. And it shall come to be if you diligently hearken to the voice of Yahweh, your Elohim."
