Zechariah 5

¹ Then I am returning and lifting my eyes and seeing, and behold! a flying roll. ² And he is saying to me, "What are you seeing?" And I am saying, "I am seeing a flying roll. Its length is twenty cubits, and its width is ten cubits." ³ And he is saying to me, "This is the execration which is faring forth over the surface of the entire land, for every thief, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance, and every swearer, henceforth as death doomed shall be visited with vengeance. ⁴ I will bring it forth, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), and it enters into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears in My name falsely, and it lodges in the midst of his house, and it consumes it and its timbers and its stones." ⁵ Then the messenger who is speaking with me is faring forth and is saying to me, "Lift, I pray, your eyes and see what this is that is faring forth." ⁶ And I am saying, "What is it?" And he is saying, "This is an ephah which is faring forth." And he is saying, "This is their depravity in the entire earth." ⁷ And behold! A disk of lead is lifted up, and behold one woman is sitting in the midst of the ephah. ⁸ And he is saying, "This woman is wickedness." And he is flinging her down into the midst of the ephah. And he is flinging the stone of lead on its mouth. ⁹ Then I am lifting my eyes and am seeing, and behold! Two women faring forth; and the wind is in their wings. And they have wings as the wings of a stork. And they are lifting up the ephah between the earth and the heavens. ¹⁰ And I am saying to the messenger who is speaking with me, "Whither are they causing the ephah to go?" ¹¹ And he is saying to me, "To build for her a house in the land of Shinar. And it shall be established and left there on its base."
